“Every man supposes himself not to be fully understood; and if there is any truth in him, if he rests at last on the divine soul, I see not how it can be otherwise. The last chamber, the last closet, he must feel, was never opened; there is always a residuum unknown, unanalyzable. That is, every man believes that he has a greater possibility.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
This painting has many layers which are visible upon close viewing, giving the piece a very dimensional and sculptural aesthetic. The stones and crystals extend out from the painting almost 1" in places, and the many layers of paints, inks and resin details provide a new experience and perspective each time the painting is viewed.
This work is framed in a custom maple frame hand-built by the artist and painted in a gloss black finish.
